Featuring "Break Free" hit maker Ariana Grande's performance, reality show "America's Got Talent" hosted by Nick Cannon recently gave NBC a boost on its ratings.

According to Nielsen, approximately 9.4 million viewers watch the first batch of "AGT" semi-finalists' performances giving the show a rating of 2.1 among the key 18-to-49-year-old demographic, Los Angeles Times has learned.

After her "Break Free" performance, Grande took to Twitter to say "thanks for having me AGT! sweetest audience ever. love u & thank u."

Grande's "Problem" featuring Iggy Azalea recently won Best Pop Video at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.

Along with "Problem" and "Bang Bang," Grande also performed "Break Free" during her interview with Matt Lauer on NBC's "Today."

During the interview, Grande told Lauer somebody has "captured" her attention but she just has not told anybody and what keeps her grounded is her loved ones.

"I spend a lot of time with my family. I'm very grateful for my fans and everything. It's like a blessing. I think I just have to constantly remind myself how lucky I am to do what I love," Grande said.

"I'm happy," she added.

Unlike Grande, however, Cannon is currently "depressed" over his failed marriage with Mariah Carey, a source told Page Six.

"There is trouble in paradise. We have been living in separate houses for a few months," Cannon told The Insider ending rumors his marriage with 45-year-old wife is on the rocks.

After his confession, the 33-year-old host decided to join "AGT" judges Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel on the red carpet, New York Daily News

Cannon was seen wearing his wedding ring on the Aug. 25 episode of "AGT."

It apparently was the last time he will be hosting "AGT" with his wedding ring on as he was seen not wearing it during the Aug. 26 "AGT" episode.

While Cannon has already spoken about their failed marriage, Carey has yet to comment.
