The sixth and final season of "Glee" will not premiere until next year, but Naya Rivera and Darren Criss are already hard at work!

Rivera, who plays Santana in the Fox musical dramedy, took to Twitter Saturday, Aug. 23, and revealed that she already received her first list of songs to record for the show's upcoming season.

"Just got my first batch of songs to pre-record next week for the new season of @GLEEonFOX! You're going to love them!" posted the 27-year-old actress-singer, who married Ryan Dorsey in a secret wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on July 19, Wetpaint noted.

Though there has been no word yet on what exactly is in store for Rivera's character in the coming season, it is expected that fans would see less of her in Season 6, as she has been downgraded from a series regular to a recurring guest star, TVLine reported.

Though the news of her demotion followed rumors that she had been fired from the show after an alleged feud with the show's producers and its female lead Lea Michele, multiple sources told E! News that the decision to downgrade her screen time was her own request.

"Naya wants to have more time to explore her music and other endeavors," explained a source close to the actress.

Aside from Rivera, Criss has also started recording songs for the show's upcoming season.

On Monday, Aug. 25, "Glee" music producer Alex Anders posted a picture of the 27-year-old actor, who plays Blaine Anderson in the series, standing in the recording studio and giving the two thumbs up sign.

"Aaaannnd...we're back! @DarrenCriss back in the booth! My first victim of the season. Here we go! #GleeSeason6," Anders captioned the pic.

Criss tweeted back, "Let the games begin indeed! @alxanders  #GleeSeason6," along with a photo of an ecstatic Alex.

Like that of Santana, Blaine's storyline for Season 6 is also being kept under wraps, but it has been reported that Blaine will have a new boyfriend: Dave Karofsky.

Max Adler, who played the homophobic bully turned openly gay good guy Dave in the past seasons of "Glee," is set to return for its last season, and sources told The Hollywood Reporter that he may now be "romantically entangled" with Blaine.
