Outstanding Lead Actress nominee, Julianna Margulies hit the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards hit the red carpet looking like the statuesque beauty she is and very true to the Arden brand-classic with an edge.

"It doesn't get any better than being on Julianna Margulies' glam team," said celebrity makeup artist Molly Stern for Elizabeth Arden. "Getting her ready for an award show has the spirit all the hair and makeup lovers out there would wish for."

"Julianna wore a stunning Narciso Rodriguez beaded gown that is classic and contemporary all at once," Molly explained. "The inspiration for her makeup was the same. I sculpted her face with a neutral and modern palette while honoring traditional glamour."

Skin Prep:

Julianna's flawless skin was prepped with PREVAGE Anti-aging Daily Serum ($162) followed by the brand's Anti-aging Moisture Cream Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 ($129).

Complexion:

I sparingly applied Flawless Finish Perfectly Nude Foundation in Alabaster ($40)," Stern said. "To contour and boost the definition of Julianna's already exquisitely chiseled face, I applied Flawless Finish Sponge-On Cream Makeup in Cocoa ($37) to the hollows of her cheek blending upward.

Then I applied Ceramide Cream Blush in Nectar ($24) just to the apples to add a subtle glow of warmth.

Eyes:

Molly heavily and sharply lined the outside of her lash line with Beautiful Color Precision Glide Eye Liner in Black Violet ($22). "Then to softly diffuse the edges I dusted Elizabeth Arden Eye Shadow in Sparkling Sable ($19) on top of the black line," Stern told us.

On her lower lash line I very tightly and softly lined with the black liner using a clean small brush, and finished with two coats of Beautiful Color Mascara ($24) to the upper and lower lashes.

Lips:

To create a bright berry stain, Molly mixed two Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipsticks, Fig and Ultra Violet ($25, each).

"I pressed the color pigment into the center of the top and bottom lip and then using my finger I filled in the rest of the lips only using what I had started with, not adding more color."

"This keeps the lips looking full and the lip line soft," she said.

As a finishing, the makeup artist added the glisten of Luminous Lip Gloss in Glamorous Gold ($18).
