Jessica Alba recently said that reprising her role as an exotic dancer in the upcoming second installment of the "Sin City" franchise was not hard for her even though she is now a mother.

When asked if the 33-year-old actress had a hard time stepping back into her sexy role as Nancy Callahan in "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" now that she already has two daughters - Honor Marie and Haven Garner - the Golden Globe-nominated actress answered, "No, not at all. I think if anything I was more prepared," according to Parade.

Alba explained that she was just a girl when the first installment of the film series was released in 2005 - "sort of like a deer caught in headlights." But after nine years since the first movie, she said she now "feels like a woman."

"I feel much more grounded, much more comfortable, much more saucy," she said in an interview with British GQ last month. "Then I was a girl, I was timid, I was afraid, I was so insecure and now I'm a woman and it's different... I'm more uninhibited."

"I certainly feel that I've evolved as a person and an actress," Alba told New York Daily News. " I have [more] fearlessness as a performer after I had kids than I did prior to having kids."

Alba added that her character Nancy has also changed a lot since the first movie. In the first installment of the franchise, Nancy was a scared damsel in distress who danced away her insecurities for leering men in a bar, but in the sequel, she is now out to avenge the murder of the only man she ever loved.

"Being able to play a character that starts off being this kind of victim who's an innocent naive girl ... and then to see her take her destiny into her own hands and avenge him and become this warrior was so cool," Alba told New York Daily News.

And since Nancy works as a dancer, the sequel will feature more dance scenes. "But the dancing's really connected to the story," Alba told British GQ. "Nancy's a bit of an alcoholic and a bit of a mess and she's depressed and angry. The dances in the movie reflect where she's at."

"Sin City: A Dame To Kill For" opens in theaters Friday, Aug 22.
