KeKe Palmer continues to make history in her career! The "Masters of Sex" actress was the youngest ever talk show host with BET's "Just KeKe," and now she will be the first African American to star in the Broadway rendition of the character, but not the first to ever fulfill a Cinderella role.

According to Us Weekly, she will be joined by Sherri Shepherd, who will take on the role of wicked stepmother, Madame.

"I feel like the reason I'm able to do this is definitely because Brandy did it on TV," Palmer told the Associated Press. "In me doing this, it shows everybody that everything is possible."

She continued, "Every girl's dream is that story, so to be able to play [Cinderella] is going to be a dream come true for me. Not to mention that Stuart Weitzman made the glass slippers I'll be wearing."

Palmer came under fire for having model Karrueche Tran on her show, where she addressed the love triangle between Chris Brown and Rihanna. She took to Instagram after the backlash to defend her decision.

"So lets talk about this ... So Rihanna fans feel a way about my interview with Karrueche. I have enough respect for Rihanna to address the topic..," the star wrote.

"No one has ever heard her speak about anything pertaining to her relationship until...#JustKeKe...People make ideas of what my intentions are and I willingly tell you...People want to hear what Karrueche has to say...The ones that love/hate Rihanna, the ones that love/hate Karrueche. My loyalty is to the community."

Shepherd was fired from "The View" in June after a seven year hosting the series.

"It's been seven wonderful years on "The View" and after careful consideration it is time for me to move on. I am extremely grateful to Barbara Walters and Bill Gedde for giving me the opportunity. I look forward to the business opportunities that lay ahead for me and I am incredibly grateful to my "View" family and my fans for supporting me on this journey," she said in a statement.

Things are looking up for both of them now!
