Now that the "Games of Thrones" are getting close to the end fans of the series are worried that author, George R.R. Martin will die before he can complete the final books.

The writer who is the mastermind behind one of the most successful fantasy literary series, "A Song of Ice and Fire" which inspired the highly successful HBO television is getting up there in old age and fans fear he will pass before the series is finished.

According to Entertainment Wise, Martin has unsurprisingly taken great offense to remarks that he won't live to tell the ending of his epic story. However, the writer has some words for people who feel that he is close to death, "F**k you!"

The 65-year-old was not too happy when he was asked about those fans who have given him an expiration date.

He explained, "I find that question pretty offensive, people speculating about my death and my health. So 'f**k you' to those people."

However, the negative thoughts didn't get the author down as he actually took the remarks quite lightly and even had a little laugh in the end but he confessed that he was pretty sick of people speculating about his death.

In the past George R.R. Martin claimed that he's planning to write seven books in the series. However, recent reports have alleged that he has increased the number of novels to eight even though he is currently still in the process of writing the sixth novel "The Winds of Winter."

If he writes eight books, the HBO series, "Game of Thrones" could see more seasons rather than the estimated six that producers previously discussed in spoiler chats.

Martin admitted that he feels a lot of pressure to speed up his writing process from fans now that the HBO series is quickly catching up with his books.
