If you have locs like I do, you're always looking for a great tip, trick, hair tutorial, or maintenance advice. And if you're in New York City this weekend, you will get your fill!

Saturday is Loc Appreciation Day! Across the country, people will be celebrating, and the Second Annual Loc Appreciation Day in NYC should not disappoint. The event will showcase loc culture through a natural hair and fashion show, music/entertainment, guest honorees and much more.

Organized by Niyya Teneé, Founder of Locs Revolution, the highly anticipated event has been named The Art of Revolution.  "Revolution comes in many forms. Members of the locs community are reshaping the world's perception through their revolutionary artistic vision," Teneé explained.

"Locs Revolution's mission is to erase the social stigma of wearing "dreadlocks" and natural hair, through education, celebration and support. Within the Natural Hair Movement, the hair care needs and diverse culture of locs wearers are often overlooked," the founder continued.

"However, with Loc Appreciation Day we work together to highlight and celebrate the natural beauty of locs. From the free-formed Rasta to the Sisterlocked naturalista, we celebrate the full spectrum of our diversity."

Loc Appreciation Day will be held at the The DiMenna Center for Classical Music on 450 West 37th Street New York, NY 10018. The even takes place Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM (EDT). Click here for tickets.
