It looks like the truth behind Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom's split is finally coming to light. The couple announced their separation last October after three years of marriage with a source revealing that the Broadway star was the problem.
According to RadarOnline.com, a source close to the couple revealed that the marriage may have ended because the "Troy" actor's drank so often that the Australian supermodel just couldn't deal with it anymore.
Apparently not only would the 37-year-old actor "black out" after drinking so much but he would also "become someone else" following the consumption of alcohol.
The celebrity news site managed to obtain photos of Orlando Bloom at a dinner party at "Lord of the Rings" costar Ian McKellan's house in which the insider insists he got very drunk.
The party took place around June 22, 2013, in Wellington, New Zealand, where Bloom was filming reshoots for "The Hobbit" and Miranda Kerr regularly visited him. During the party both the supermodel and their 3-year-old son, Flynn was in attendance but left early.
The source explained, "The party really let loose because Miranda and the nanny took off with Flynn," adding, "Orlando got wasted at one of Ian McKellan's famous dinner parties, which was mostly just a wine party.
"Miranda hates when Orly [his nickname] gets drunk the way he does because he often blacks out or forgets where he is."
The "Romeo and Juliet" star's drinking is so out of control that he typically needs a buddy to take care of him at the end of the night.
The insider explained, "Someone usually walks him home just to be safe, but I think the drinking was the flaw Miranda used to file the divorce," adding, "Miranda hated when Orly would drink a lot and become someone else."
In a statement about their separation a rep said, "After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation."
Adding, "Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family."
